The e-visa allows the holder to stay for 15-90 days and is of different types, which can be extended should you wish to stay for much longer.
Single entry 1-month tourist e visa: The single entry e visa allows you to stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days.
Single entry 3 months tourist e visa: The single entry three months visa allows the holder to stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days.
You should only go for this option if you plan to only visit the country once in a long while. With this visa, you can spend time with friends and family, tour the country, visit fun and historic places, etc. However, you cannot work with this visa, as working with a tourist visa is not allowed.

Vietnam Business e Visa
The business is designed for business purposes and is the ideal visa for short-term business visitors.
This visa can be issued to individuals, business persons, or representatives of companies or business organizations coming to fulfill an assignment. You may also apply for it to settle estates, buy goods or services, or offer yours to clients or suppliers in Vietnam. However, you can’t use it to work in Vietnam as only a work visa issued by the Vietnam embassy allows foreigners to work.
There are four types of business e visa to Vietnam, namely
Single entry 1-month e-visa: If you hold this one, you can only enter Vietnam once and must complete your assignment and depart the country on or before the 30th day after your arrival.
Single entry 3 months e visa: The single entry three months e visa is designed for longer stays of up to 90 days but can only be used once. After entering Vietnam with it, you can’t use it again.
Multiple entry 1-month e-visa: If you would like to visit Vietnam several times a year at short intervals, it will make no sense to apply for a new single-entry visa all the time as this will cost you more. Instead, you should apply for a multiple-entry visa to visit Vietnam. This one-month multiple-entry visa allows you to enter, exit, and re-enter Vietnam within a month and is best for visitors traveling between Vietnam and neighboring countries on business.
Multiple entry 3 months e visa: This visa also allows you to visit Vietnam multiple times, and it allows you to stay for up to 90 days. This option is ideal if your assignment will require more than a month to conclude.
The multiple-entry e-visa is strictly for business and is not a work visa. The government will sanction persons caught working and earning direct pay in Vietnam. Overstaying your visa is also a violation, so do well to conclude your business so you can depart on or before the visa expires.
