Nepal Visa Policy

Visit Nepal, a region of stunning Himalayan landscapes and fascinating cultural traditions, for a trip you won't soon forget. Getting a Nepal visa has never been simpler, so you can start planning your trip to this adventurer's paradise right now.

A visa may be required to enter Nepal, depending on your country of origin. All non-Indians (including American citizens) need a visa to enter the nation. Indian citizens do not need a visa to enter Nepal, therefore they are free to go there at any time of the year. Visa requirements for citizens of other countries are more nuanced, with certain nationalities being able to apply for visas upon arrival and others needing to apply for visas before they go.

The intent and length of your trip might also have an impact on your visa application. Tourist visas for activities like sight-seeing, climbing, and trekking, as well as family and friend visits, are all taken into account by Nepal's visa policy. In 2014, the government created the Nepal Tourist Visa, completely revamping the procedure by doing away with the requirement to stand in lengthy queues at the border or visit embassies.

There is now a paperless way to enter Nepal for tourism or other reasons; all you need is an eVisa. This user-friendly web platform supports several entries, so it can meet the varying requirements of different tourists. You may choose from 15, 30, or 90 days of visa validity for each entry. Additionally, the eVisa is valid for an astonishing six months after your date of arrival in Nepal, giving you plenty of time to organize your trip.

The process of applying for an eVisa to Nepal is simple. Personal and contact information, passport information, and trip details may all be provided in a matter of minutes using a simple online application form. In addition, an eVisa fee must be paid and digital copies of supporting papers supplied before an application may be submitted.

The computerized Nepal travel visa application procedure normally takes roughly two weeks after submission. Upon receiving their eVisa approval email, visitors will have 15 days from the date of issuance to enter Nepal.
