Original passport. The passport must be valid at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the destination country and has at least 3 blank visa pages.
Passport-type photograph. Include 3 recent passport size colored photographs, they should have a close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes 70% of the photograph, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 50mm).e.
Invitation Letter. Original Invitation Letter from inviting Company on its letter head stating the applicant's name, passport number and purpose & duration of visit. The letter should be duly signed by the authorized signatory with his name, designation, contact number and address.
Bank statement. Original personal bank statements for the last six months duly stamped and signed by the authorized signatory of the bank till date.
Employment letter. A letter from your employer/school (on business letterhead, with contact details), stating that a leave of absence has been granted and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.
Letter of authorization. Original and signed Letter of Authorization that enables VisaHQ as an agent to submit and collect the documents on applicant's behalf.
Cover Letter. Covering letter mentioning the purpose of travel to Malaysia.
Return ticket. Original and copy of confirmed return air-ticket with flight details and E-ticket no.
VDR letter. VDR Approval Letter in a sealed envelope (is obtained prior to travel from Malaysian Immigration Authority).
Visa application form. Fully completed and signed application form.

If visiting friends or family, you must provide letter of invitation with the contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date. You will also need to provide proof of the host's status in Malaysia ie. copy of their Malaysia passport's information page, or, if they are not a citizen of Malaysia, copies of their Malaysia residence permit and their national passport's information pages.

Visa Policy of Malaysia
The Malaysian visa policy is a set of rules and regulations that determines the requirements and eligibility criteria for foreigners who apply for visas. The policy dictates who is eligible for what visa and how long they can stay in the country. The main source of the visa policy is based on the Immigration Act 1959/63, which addresses all issues with visa eligibility, employment permits, illegal entries, etc.
According to the Immigration Act, all foreign nationals traveling to Malaysia must get a visa or entry permit before being allowed into the country. Visitors from visa-free countries can enter and stay for different days depending on their nationality, and these visitors are allowed to stay for 14, 30, and 90 days, respectively. Those not from visa-free countries must obtain a visa from the Malaysian embassy in their countries before they can enter Malaysia as legal visitors. The policy also mandates all visitors from visa-free and non-visa-free countries to hold passports with a minimum of 6 months' validity.
Malaysian visas can either be issued through a consulate/embassy through an online medium or in person. Visitors from some visa-free countries can travel to Malaysia and get visas on arrival, while others can apply for an e-visa online for short stays. Visitors who are not from visa-free countries or those from visa-free countries who wish to stay for more than 90 days in Malaysia must apply for a normal visa from the embassy.
Currently, there are 70 countries on the visa-free list whose citizens can visit Malaysia for 14-90 days for tourism, medical care, transit, or business. There is also a special online Malaysian eNTRI visa for selected countries.
