Gabon Visa Policy

Gabon has a very robust visa policy that determines who requires a visa to enter the country and who doesn't. Currently, most visitors from other countries need visas to enter Gabon in advance, and such visas can be sourced from Gabonese missions abroad or online. Foreigners who do not require visas are allowed to stay in the country for 30 days or 90 days, depending on their nationality.

Visa-exempt countries are divided into two groups; those that can stay for 90 days, a mix of African and non-African countries. Visitors in this category can stay the longest in the country without visas.

The second list compromises a few first-world and a majority of second and third-world countries whose citizens can stay in Angola for just 30 days.

Visitors who do not come from any of the visa-exempt countries must visit the Angolan embassy or consulate in their country or a neighboring country or even ally for a visa through an official visa agent working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a Foreign Mission. After submitting the application, the processing takes a few weeks before the visa is ready.

Gabon e Visa

Only some people need to visit the embassy or consulate to apply for a visa, as there is an electronic visa Program that has been in operation since 2015. This e-visa program is open to visitors who arrive in the country via the Leon Mba Airport in the Capital city of Libreville. The online application form must be correctly filled, and Al required documents must be attached in soft copies.

It is mandatory for the application fee to be paid before the applicant can submit the application for processing. Fees are paid using a valid debit or credit card. As for the processing time, it takes up to 72 hours.

Transiting Through Gabon

International trackers can change flights in Gabon en route to another country if they remain in the airport in under 24 hours if they come from selected countries. However, travelers from other countries absent from the list must apply for transit visas.
