    Cameroon Tourism e Visa

The tourism e-visa, as the name implies, is for tourists coming to Cameroon. Holders can visit any passport-free zone in Central Africa to enjoy the sights and sounds.

Tourist e-visas may be used to visit family, tour, or for holidays; it is so flexible that its use is at the discretion of the holder. As a tourist in Cameroon with an e-visa, you can stay in the country for up to 90 days per visit.

E visas for tourism are released as either short or long-stay visas, so consider your itinerary and how frequently you wish to visit before submitting your application. You will be required to show proof of funds and accommodation at the point of entry. You must also show a certificate to prove that you have received the Yellow Fever vaccine before you will be allowed to enter.

    Cameroon Business e Visa

Tb business e-visa is for business professionals, investors, partners, and guests who may wish to visit Cameroon for business engagements or to attend a conference. This visa is not a work visa and is strictly for noncommercial ventures. By that, we mean that the applicant is not supposed to engage in any activity that will earn them direct pay. Business e-visas are also available as short or long-stay visas, but visitors cannot stay in Cameroon for more than 90 days each time they visit.

Visitors must have secured their return flight tickets before their arrival along with their accommodation. They may also be required to show proof of funds at the entry point as the authorities will want to ensure they are financially sufficient. Furthermore, do note that yellow fever vaccinations are required for all visitors coming to Cameroon for what purpose? This is the overall health policy of the government.

        Cameroon Visa Policy

Based on the visa policy of the Cameroonian government, any foreigner looking to visit the country must get a visa before they can enter. The only group of visitors that don’t require visas are persons from visa-exempt countries. Cameroon keeps a visa-exempt list of nations which is quite small. Citizens of fellow African countries such as Nigeria, Chad, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Mali may enter without visas, but this list is by no means conclusive as more countries may be added or a few removed in the nearest future.

Ordinary passport holders from visa exempted are permitted to stay in Cameroon without visas for as long as 90 days to pursue only noncommercial interests in the country. Furthermore, the government also has a group of countries whose nonordinary passport holders may need visas to visit the country. Holders of diplomatic and service passports can enter and stay in Cameroon for up to 90 days without visas.

        Visa On Arrival

Cameroon has a visa-on-arrival package for service and diplomatic passport holders from countries that don’t qualify for visa-free access. You can visit Cameroon and get a visa at the entry point if you are from any such country. The same grace is extended to ordinary passport holders of some nationalities too. This visa grants the holder a maximum stay of 30 days per visit.

        Transit

International travelers may continue their trip in Cameroon by switching flights that will take them to their next destination, but they will need a transit visa if they remain in the airport for more than 24 hours.

All visitors to Cameroon are required to get a Yellow Fever vaccination; otherwise, they may face difficulties at the point of entry or be forced to get the vaccine at their own expense.

        Cameroon Electronic Visa

The Cameroonian electronic visa is an online authorization launched by the authorities to fast-track visa applications. Before now, visitors had to visit a Cameroonian embassy abroad which took several weeks to get visas, but this is set to change. E visas are processed within 72 hours so the applicant can obtain the visa they need for their trip at short notice.

Electronic visas are issued as short and long-stay visas. Both visas allow you to stay in Cameroon for up to 90 days per visit but with different validities. While the short-stay e visa is valid for 180 days, the long-stay visa is valid for 12 months and can be used more than once. To get the visa, the applicant must visit the online platform VisaHQ offers to complete the application form with their details.

They must also attach all the relevant documents to the form, pay an application fee and submit it for processing. There is also an e-visa with a QR code for applicants living in areas not served by Cameroonian embassies and consulates. The purpose of this code is to enable persons in these locations to access the application form.

E visas may grant visitors access to Cameroon, but the immigration authorities reserve the sole right to reduce the number of days they can stay or completely restrict access to the country for security reasons.

Key Details About Cameroon e Visa And Trip Information

To conclude, we provide valuable information about the Cameroonian e-visa and travel information about Cameroon to make your trip stress-free.

Know The Feature Difference: Be informed that the e-visa in Cameroon are of two types, and they have different features. The long and short stays may have different validities, but you can only use it to stay for 90 days only. If you like to visit once, the short stay is the best option, but opt for the long stay version for several visits.

Language options: Cameroon may be a Francophone country with more French speakers, but the region of Douala is populated with English speakers, many of whom are also fluent in French. If you want to assimilate faster, you should opt for Douala as your target destination if you are an English speaker.

Use Approved Routes: Only use approved routes when traveling to Cameroon to make our journey easier and safer. Approved routes are better accessible and manned by law enforcement agents.

Use The Same Passport: The passport you travel to Cameroon with must be the same on your e-visa. E-visa applications have a field for passport information such as the applicant’s name, gender, date of birth, issue and expiry date, and most importantly, the passport number. Some of these details will be printed on the e-visa. If the border officers notice discrepancies in your passport information and the passport you tender, you will not be allowed to enter the country.

Application Fee is Mandatory: The visa application fee is mandatory for all applicants. You must pay this fee to be allowed to submit the application fee. Furthermore, this fee is not refunded once paid and does not guarantee that the visa will be issued to you. Only persons who meet the requirements will get the visa.

Print A Copy: Make sure you travel to Cameroon with a copy of the visa to serve as proof that you are attempting to enter the country legally. You can print our copy from your email once you get the visa.

Yellow Fever Vaccination: All visitors coming to Cameroon, regardless of what their purpose may be or how long they intend to stay, must be vaccinated for yellow fever with certificates to prove. While these vaccines may be available at the airport and selected border posts, you are not guaranteed that you can get the shot on the day you arrive. So it is best to get it before the trip to be on the safe side.

Right Exclusivity: Under Cameroonian law, immigration, and border officers reserve exclusive rights to deny a visitor into the country even if they have valid visas. Entry may be denied if they discover that the visitor obtained the visa using false information or if they pose a security risk to the country. Using invalid documents may also be grounds for entry denial.
